According to the American Diabetes Association every 17 seconds, someone is diagnosed with diabetes. Nearly 26 million children and adults in the United States have diabetes, and another 79 million Americans are at risk for developing type 2 Diabetes. There is no cure for diabetes, but it can be managed. Balancing the food you eat with exercise and medicine, if needed, will help you control your weight and keep your blood glucose in the healthy range.
