Deepak Azad, M.D., MPH, originally joined the medical staff
of Scott
Memorial Hospital as a physician in the Emergency Department during 1995
and 1996. He returned in 1998 and has his office on the SMH campus.
Dr. Azad received his Medical Degree from the Government Medical College, India. He has also received MPH Degree (Masters Public Health) from New York Medical College, and Internal Medicine training at the University of Louisville, and Occupational Medicine training at the University of Cincinnati with the assistance of a Fellowship from Proctor and Gamble.
Dr. Azad provides primary care with emphasis on hypertension and metabolic disorders such as cholesterol problems, thyroid disorders, obesity and diabetes.
“We have to be caring,” said Dr. Azad. “That is the bottom line, to care for our patients.”
