Shane Avery, M.D., is Board Certified in Family Practice and has completed fellowships in Obstetrics and Rural Medicine. He received his M.D. from Indiana University in 1996, and served his Fellowship at Union Hospital at Terre Haute during 1999.
Dr. Avery’s Obstetrics Fellowship trained him in high-risk obstetrics, allowing him to perform tubal ligations, D + C and Cesarean Section deliveries for his patients.
During the Rural Health Fellowship he learned procedural techniques to diagnosis stomach and colon disorders and to screen for colon cancer. He does colonoscopy and EGD ( An exam of the lining of the esophagus and stomach, with a small fiber-optic camera.)
Dr. Avery’s office is on the hospital campus at 1465 N. Gardner.
