Volunteer
Opportunities |
Recent changes in the Guild volunteer program at Scott Memorial
Hospital are off and running.
Our volunteers are a vital component of hospital services, with
a history dating back to before the hospital opened in December
of 1959.
There are a variety of ways for both men and women to volunteer
in the Scott Memorial Hospital Guild. New duties for the Guild members
mean that some volunteers do a specific job in a hospital department
such as in Medical Records, Cardiopulmonary, Laboratory, to name
a few.
Other Guild members may help move patients in
wheelchairs, transfer charts from place to place or work in the
Gift Shop.
Other Guild members still perform the traditional duties such as
calling home-bound patients or staffing the welcome desk.
The Guild has donated over $80,000 for purchase of equipment and
furniture to Scott Memorial Hospital in the last five years.
Guild membership is a fun way to use your time and
talents to help your community. Members also participate in bake
sales, book fairs and uniform sales. As a Guild member, you can
select the type of job that meets your special skills and set your
own schedule.
If you are looking to volunteer at a place you can call home, this
is your opportunity. Scott Memorial Hospital maintains a family
atmosphere while putting quality first...
as our motto says, we deliver...
Quality Care... Close to Home
